The Krimpenfort Wind Farm consists of the Krimpenfort I and II subprojects and comprises two individual turbines.

Both projects were implemented by UMania GmbH & Co. Windpark Krimpenfort KG.
The joint venture is owned equally by CPC Germania GmbH & Co. KG of Rheine and Umwelt Management AG of Cuxhaven.

The Krimpenfort I wind farm was completed in August 2017. The E92 wind turbine, manufactured by Enercon and installed in Lohne (Lower Saxony), has a hub height of 138 meters and a rated capacity of 2.4 MW.

In May 2024, the wind farm’s capacity was increased by 5.7 MW with the installation of the N149 turbine from the manufacturer Nordex. It expands the adjacent existing wind farm south of the city of Vechta.

The wind farm provides enough electricity to power more than 5,500 three-person households, making it a small but important contribution to the energy transition.
