The Lappf­järd wind farm is loca­ted near Kris­ti­ne­stad in sou­thwes­tern Finland.

The pro­ject is a coope­ra­ti­on ven­ture bet­ween our sub­si­dia­ry CPC Fin­land Oy and Prime Capi­tal AG. The wind farm is being rea­li­zed with the tur­bi­ne manu­fac­tu­rer Ves­tas and with the help of the com­pa­nies Suvic, Hita­chi, Veo and Maar­a­ken­nus Hautala.

The rea­liza­ti­on of the pro­ject takes place in two con­s­truc­tion pha­ses, the first of them has alre­a­dy been suc­cessful­ly completed.

With a com­mis­sio­ning date of the end of 2022 and a total capa­ci­ty of 192MW, the imple­men­ta­ti­on of the first con­s­truc­tion pha­se took place in a record time of 18 months. In the pro­cess, 31 Ves­tas V162 6.2MW wind tur­bi­nes with a hub height of 230m were instal­led. The rea­li­zed pro­duc­tion capa­ci­ty equ­als the elec­tri­ci­ty con­sump­ti­on of the enti­re popu­la­ti­on of the city of Vaa­sa (appro­xi­m­ate­ly 70,000 inhabitants).

The second con­s­truc­tion pha­se increa­ses the total capa­ci­ty of the wind farm by ano­ther 50MW. The num­ber of wind tur­bi­nes thus increa­ses by eight to a total of 39 Ves­tas V162 6.2MW. Pro­ject imple­men­ta­ti­on is alre­a­dy in full swing and will be com­ple­ted on sche­du­le by the end of 2023.
