The wind farm on the Knippen to the northeast of the town of Freudenberg consists of three turbines of the type N117‑2.4MW from the manufacturer Nordex.
Our project implementation schedule was postponed several times due to a lawsuit filed by a local resident. Nevertheless, manufacturers, land owners, participating companies and we ourselves believed in the success of the project and stuck to the Knippen wind farm.
The delay significantly increased expenses for unforeseen additional costs, so that the budget could not be met. Through the cooperation of the main land owner as well as the manufacturer, fixed costs could be reduced and thus the Knippen wind farm could be realized.
With the goal of theoretically being able to supply the entire population of the town of Freudenberg with green and clean electricity with the three wind turbines, the project ultimately did successfully go into operation in July 2018.
