The wind farm is being realized with the turbine manufacturer Vestas and with the help of the companies Suvic, Hitachi, Veo and Maarakennus Hautala.<\/p>\n<p>The realization of the project takes place in two construction phases, the first of them has already been successfully completed.<\/p>\n<p>With a commissioning date of the end of 2022 and a total capacity of 192MW, the implementation of the first construction phase took place in a record time of 18 months. In the process, 31 Vestas V162 6.2MW wind turbines with a hub height of 230m were installed. The realized production capacity equals the electricity consumption of the entire population of the city of Vaasa (approximately 70,000 inhabitants).<\/p>\n<p>The second construction phase increases the total capacity of the wind farm by another 50MW. The number of wind turbines thus increases by eight to a total of 39 Vestas V162 6.2MW.
